The Vienna Boys Choir, one of the oldest and most famous choirs, is coming to the Victory Theatre stage on March 2.
The choir consists of 100 boys between the ages of ten and fourteen from around the world. The group of 100 is divided into four touring groups that spend nine to eleven weeks of the school year on tour. They visit almost all European countries and frequent Asia, Australia and the Americas.
Between the four groups, the boys perform before almost half a million people.
Their repertoire includes everything from medieval to contemporary and experimental music.
The choir has been around since the 14th century when boys sang at the Viennese court, mass, concerts, private functions and state occasions.
