There’s just something amazing about a big messy burger. So when we heard about the new gourmet burger food truck in Evansville we were more than intrigued. Rock-A-Burger Food Truck is brand new to Evansville and the Tri-State area.
The truck is run by the same owners of another local food truck, The Duffy Shuffle. We spoke with the owner, Nick Duffy, and we’re stoked for the rock music-themed food truck.
You can spot Rock-A-Burger by its mascot, Rocky the Dog, that will be large and in charge on the side of the truck.
Firstly, you can expect 1/4 lb. smash burgers that are from a local processer. Most of the cattle were raised in Jasper, IN. Duffy said they want to be ‘super-local’ in everything that they do.
We’re most excited about the Sweet Home Alabama burger. It has sharp cheddar cheese, bacon, coleslaw, an onion ring, and Alabama White BBQ Sauce.
Oh, and the Aporkalypse burger. That one has Italian sausage and beef patty, bacon, cheese, and awesome sauce.
To sum up, we can’t wait to try this food truck!
Duffy mentioned that starting Rock-A-Burger during the Pandemic has forced them to alter how they operate. For instance, in the spring and summer, their schedule is usually lined up with events and outings. But now that most events are canceled or postponed due to COVID-19, they’re setting up shop around Evansville. For instance, you can find them near businesses or posted up in a neighborhood for the evening giving busy families the night off from cooking.
So, if you want to find out where you can find the truck, we recommend you follow their Facebook page.
