No Fall Festival? No problem. That’s what a lot of local nonprofits are saying this year.
The news of the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival being canceled means that a lot of non-profits will miss out on loads of fundraising for 2020.
If you’ve been on Facebook for the past couple weeks, you’ve seen that many local nonprofits are planning to open their booths anyways in hopes to raise some funds.
A lot of booths will be or already have opened up shop at their locations around the River City. And for the love of the Fall Festival, someone created Facebook Group just for the sole purpose of sharing the details of each booth.
The Facebook Group is nearing 15k members.
Organizers of the group created it to help get the word out about the location non-profits running their booths this year.
We recommend double-checking with the non-profit that their booth will be open and hasn’t sold out yet, before you make the haul to their location. It probably wouldn’t hurt to bring cash with you, either.
Also, bring your mask.
