Stroll under thousands of twinkling holiday lights in Newburgh this winter

There really is something special about twinkling holiday lights!

That’s why we are thrilled to see this new event come to the Tri-State.

Historic Newburgh, Inc. is hosting their very first walk-through holiday light display this December called Newburgh Winterlights.

Newburgh Winterlights is set for December, 18-20 at the Aurand Trailhead. The event was announced in a Facebook post.

The event page says the event will have thousands of lights to see and walk-through along the Rivertown Trail from the Aurand Trailhead, across the red bridge, through the woods, and out to the overlook. When you reach the overlook, you can relax by a fire. You can make the walk extra special and buy some hot cocoa, cookies, or a s’ mores kit to use by the fire.

The page says the event will be socially distant and visitors will be required to wear a mask.

Tickets will be $5 per person. They will go on sale on November 15 on the Historic Newburgh, Inc. website.
