Soon you can look for these 8 giant pig sculptures scattered around Owensboro

Oink for Owensboro is back for 2019!

Do you remember seeing giant pig sculptures in Owensboro, KY last year? Their part of Kentucky Legend‘s charity project: Oink for Owensboro.

Each pig represents a $5,000 donation to a local charity!

Here’s how it works…

Each pig is purchased by a business in the Owensboro community and hand painted by artists just like Austin Casebolt. When they’re done, the pigs are placed throughout the community for visitors to enjoy! The money used to purchase the pig sculptures is donated to a local charity in the community elected by each participating business.

Supporting local communities is a very important element of Kentucky Legend's core values. Next year, we hope to raise over $100,000 for local charities through our #Oink4Owensboro program. #GiveBack ūüźĖ

There are 8 businesses participating this year.

The pigs currently being hand painted by artists from all over the area.

The first chance the public will have to see the pigs will be May 10 on the lawn of the Owensboro Convention Center just in time for the International Bar-B-Q Festival.

If you can’t make it to see the pigs on May 10, you’ll soon be able to grab a map and¬†look them around town! Maps can be picked up at¬†the Owensboro-Daviess County Convention & Visitors Bureau or find it at Kentucky Legend‘s website.
