Copper House in the former Tin Man building on Franklin St. in Evansville is almost ready to open. Owner and Head Chef Charisa Perkins said she hopes to be open by the end of this April or the beginning of May.
We were able to get a sneak peek into the new restaurant and talk to Perkins. Check out the video to see the all-new decor and set-up of the three-story building. You’ll find unique handmade art, real plants, a big beautiful hand-painted mural (to be revealed at a later date), and of course copper accents. Perkins said that she loved working with local makers and artists for Copper House.
As far as the menu goes, it hasn’t been confirmed yet. Perkins said the upscale casual restaurant will offer different comfort foods including a burger, chicken and waffle sandwich, Cincinnati chili dog, and a steak and polenta dish.

They’ll eventually offer 24 beers on tap that will include some local breweries, but no, the new restaurant will not brew their own beer. To start they will serve 12 beers on tap along with cocktails.
Perkins said she plans to hold a few soft openings before the grand opening event.
Copper House is also currently looking for Kitchen Staff to hire.
