What Evansville knows as the former Tin Man building has new life as the new restaurant, Copper House!

Walking into the restaurant, you’ll see how much detail and time Owner and Head Chef Charisa Perkins put into the decor and environment.

They gave us a beer, wine, and cocktail menu to look over to start. They had some local beers from Myriad Brewing Company as well as the standard domestic and imported kinds. They had a long list of wines to choose from including house wine and others. The cocktail menu listed fan-favorite drinks including a Bloody Mary, Manhattan, Whiskey Sour, Copper House Mule, and more.

I didn’t order a drink, but I was told the Old Fashioned was textbook. They used Buffalo Trace Bourbon. The Luxardo cherry was noted and appreciated!

For appetizers, the menu offered a charcuterie plate, greek meatballs, Moroccan spiced pork sliders, bacon jam dip with bread, and more. We ordered the fried goat cheese bites. They were fried, salty, cheesy and the blackberry jam on top was so good!

Yum.

Looking at the menu, we saw the items that Perkins mentioned in her sneak peek video, like the Cincinnati Chili Dog, but we also saw other dishes she didn’t mention like fried pork belly tacos, apricot salmon, and pappardelle pasta. The prices on the menu listed entrees ranging from a $10 pasta dish to a $16 steak dish. We ordered the steak and polenta dish and pork belly tacos.

The steak and polenta dish was creamy and cheese-y. The steak as cooked to medium. It came with a side of pickled radicchio. If you don’t like pickles, you won’t like the radicchio. I loved it.

The tacos came in a pair and they were slightly bigger than traditional street tacos, but still relatively small. We wanted a third taco!
