Rooting for Rami: University of Evansville to host watch party for Rami Malek

The University of Evansville is rooting for Rami Malek! His role as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody landed him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.

The actor’s alma mater is hosting an exclusive Oscar watch party at City View at Sterling Square on Sunday, February 24. Attendees will walk the carpet at 6 p.m. and watch the Live broadcast at 7 p.m.

There will be a cash bar, hors-d’oeuvres, and desserts. Bring your wits, too, as there will be movie trivia, broadcast BINGO, and an opportunity to make predictions on the Academy Awards.

The attire is Black-tie optional.

Tickets are $100 per person and the event is limited to 100 people. The event proceeds will benefit UE John David Lutz Theatre Lab that is set to open this fall.
