New Year’s Eve Drinks for the adults and kids at your party

Try these New Year's Eve drinks for your NYE Party!

Not a fan of big crowds or spending a bunch of money of New Year’s Eve? Or maybe there are kiddos in the family. Either way celebrating New Year’s Eve ‘in’ is always a great option.

You’ll most likely have the usual suspects available like beer, wine and champagne. But take your party hosting skills from good to great with this gourmet hot chocolate for the kids and the French 75 for the adults from Evansville’s Sauced!

Gourmet Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

  • granulated sugar
  • powdered cocoa
  • pinch salt
  • confectioners sugar
  • dark brown sugar
  • ground cinnamon
  • allspice
  • nutmeg
  • pinch of chili powder

Homemade hot chocolate mix directions:

Mix together…

  • 2 parts granulated sugar
  • 1 part powdered cocoa
  • 1 pinch salt

Then add these to your taste…

  • confectioners sugar
  • dark brown sugar
  • ground cinnamon
  • allspice
  • nutmeg
  • pinch of chili powder

Drink directions:

  1. Put two tbsp of hot chocolate mix in the glass with 1/2 ounce of heavy cream
  2. Fill with hot water
  3. Mix thoroughly
  4. Top it off with whipped cream and nutmeg
  5. Enjoy!

French 75

Ingredients:

  • ice
  • 1 1/2 ounce gin
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • Sparkling White

Drink directions:

  1. Put ice in a drink shaker and add in gin, lemon juice and simple syrup
  2. Shake it up!
  3. Pour into glass and top off with sparkling white
  4. Garnish with lemon twist or wedge
  5. Enjoy!
