Monon Trail: French Lick West Baden Museum celebrates railroading days gone by

There's something about riding a train

When the healing powers of West Baden’s Pluto Water and the luxurious French Lick Resort called to the masses, eager visitors of the tourist attractions hopped to the Monon Trail to get there.

And now train fanatics and historians can learn all about the famous rail trail. The French Lick West Baden Museum will host an extensive collection of paintings by American artist Howard Fogg along with other Monon memorabilia.

We present the “Art of the Monon – The Paintings of Howard Fogg” in the Town Gallery.  The Monon had a major impact on every town in Orange County.  Ten signed and titled Monon prints by famed railroad artist Howard Fogg are on display along with Monon memorabilia and excerpts from the Monon’s centennial documentary in 1947.  This is a must-see exhibit, running through September 1.

The French Lick West Baden Museum is about 1.5 hour from the Tri-State and is well worth the drive!
