Meet the artists in the 5th Annual Ferdinand Folk Festival Singer-Songwriter Contest

The Ferdinand Folk Festival Singer-Songwriter Contest not only showcases some of Southern Indiana’s best singer-songwriters, but it is also a benefit concert that helps efforts to keep the Ferdinand Folk Festival free!

These artists were picked from a juried competition and are set to take the stage this Sunday, August 11 from 4 – 6:30 p.m. Eastern at St. Benedict’s Brew Works in Ferdinand, IN.

  • The Burma Shaver(s), Evansville, IN, and Ashley, IL
  • Katie Didit, Louisville, KY
  • Maris Fish, Bloomington, IN
  • Laura Rose and the Briars, Evansville, IN
  • Jacob McDaniel, New Salisbury, IN
  • Redwood Preservation Society, Evansville, IN
  • Clayton N. Schroeder, Bloomington, IN

Tickets to the showcase are $10 for adults, $5 for those 18 and under.

These performers will also be featured on Saturday, September 21 on the NextEra Energy Main Stage in 18th Street Park and at the festival on the Kyana Woodstock Stage during the afternoon.

The festival is a free, family and environmentally friendly festival in Ferdinand, IN.  The event is filled with internationally, nationally, and regionally touring singer-songwriters, artisan foods, environmental/wellness booths, aerial dancers, giant puppets, and more.
