Six things to bring to Holiday Drive-In for a great night

Let’s celebrate! Holiday Drive-In just opened their brand new screen and now has six screens running two movies each night. More screens mean more movies and we’re down for that.

Holiday Drive-In is a most definitely one of our favorite summer activities, but we always go prepared.

Bring these items on your next trip to the drive-in for a sure good time…

1. Take the Truck (or borrow one!)

We recommend you take a truck. There’s nothing like sitting in the back of a truck watching a movie at the Drive-In. It raises you off the ground just enough to get a great view of the screen and keeps you off the itchy ground.

Not only that, but you can take it up a level by setting up an air mattress in the back or lawn chairs.

Don’t have a truck available? Bring blankets and pillows to set up on the grass. Or set up in the back of your hatchback.

About an hour before showtime! Come get your spot for a night at the Holiday Drive-In!

2. Bring a radio…

The audio at Holiday Drive-In is played through your car’s FM radio. If you’re set up outside in the bed of a truck or in front of your car, you won’t be in a place to hear your car’s radio! And there’s nothing worse than not being able to hear a movie.

Bring a battery-powered radio to place right next to your comfy drive-in set up.

3. Pack some snacks!

Did you know you can pack snacks into Holiday Drive-In? That’s right. You can bring your favorite sodas, drinks and snacks. Just leave the grills at home. The concession stand has hamburgers, hot dogs, and more ready for ya! Of course, they have candy and hot popcorn, too.

4. Bug Spray

Drive-Ins are outside and open in the summer. Must we say more? Remember the bug spray for an itch-free fun time!

5. Bring the pup!

Holiday Drive-In is pet-friendly! Just make sure you pick up after your furbaby. We recommend only bringing your four-legged family if they can exist in public as calm and quiet members of the drive-in community.
