Evansville Museum announces Geek & Comic Con

Evansville, Indiana – The Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science is thrilled to announce the second annual GEEK & COMIC CON. This event celebrates the art, history and science of sci-fi, comic and geek culture on Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26, 2018 in Evansville, Indiana.

The Evansville Museum Geek & Comic Con is a family-friendly event perfect for comic con enthusiasts, as well as first timers to the convention scene. Guest of honor this year will be Newburgh native turned Hollywood visual effects artist Kent Estep. Mr. Estep has worked on over 30 blockbuster films including The Matrix, Men in Black II, ParaNorman, and Avengers: Age of Ultron as well as the World of Warcraft and Overwatch video game franchises. Other guests include the 501st Legion (Star Wars characters) and the Ai No Hoshi Maid Café. There will be vendors throughout the Museum that feature local artists and authors, as well as panel discussions and presentations. A new addition this year will be food trucks.

Evansville Museum Geek & Comic Con tickets are available in one day or weekend passes:  Saturday – $30 Adult, $25 Youth (4-17) for Not-Yet Members; $20 Adult, $15 Youth (4-17) for Members. Sunday – $20 Adult, $15 Youth (4-17) for Not-Yet Members; $15 Adult, $10 Youth (4-17) for Members. Weekend Passes – $45 Adult, $35 Youth (4-17) for Not-Yet Members; $30 Adult, $20 Youth (4-17) for Members. Special family passes are available for Museum members.
