Ever wanted to cook something special for your dog? Follow these easy steps to whip up some delicious peanut butter pumpkin treats for your furry friend!
Peanut Butter Pumpkin Dog Treats
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees
Ingredients
- 2.5 Cups of whole wheat flour
- 1/2 Cup of rolled oats
- 2 Tablespoon of peanut butter (We recommend using organic peanut butter and make sure it doesn’t contain xylitol)
- 1/2 Cup of canned pumpkin (just plain pumpkin, no sugar or added ingredients)
- 2 eggs
Combine ingredients and knead or mix into dough consistency.
Roll out to desired thickness using extra flour to keep it from sticking to surface.
Bake in single layer on cookie sheet For approximately 8-12 min depending on thickness and oven. We like to have the bottoms slightly browned.
If you want these treats to keep for more than a week we suggest dehydrating with a dehydrator or by baking the treats for an additional few hours at 150 degrees, making sure most of the moisture is gone.
Treats can then be stored in refrigerator or freezer to prolong freshness.
This makes approximately 25-50 treats depending on size of treats.
