Cinema Chat: Going to the movie theaters during the pandemic and the newest movies to see

All the movie news with Cinema Chat guru Ted Haycraft

Movie theatres were quite the ghost town for months, of course, due to the pandemic. Now that they’ve re-opened with new safety protocols in places, we asked the 14News Cinema Chat movie guru to sit down with us to tell us all about it.

Check out the video above to get his experience returning to the big screens.

Of course, we should expect to wear a mask everywhere we go these days and that is no different at the movies. Guests can take their masks off when eating or drinking during the movie. Many theaters have put in air filtration systems, added more time in between movies for cleaning, and placed hand sanitizer and wipe throughout the building. You can also expect to have reserved seating. It would be a good idea to reserve your seat early to get the best seat possible.

Movies to see…

Tenet | PG-13 | Action/Thriller | 2h 31m

Christopher Nolan does it again. This action thriller bends time not unlike Nolan’s dream bending in Inception.

The New Mutants | PG-13 | Horror/Fantasy | 1h 39m

This Marvel movie is unlike what you’d expect from an X-Men spin-off. It’s darker and not for young kids, but still equally as great and filled with action sequences.

The Personal History of David Copperfield | PG | Drama/Comedy-drama | 2 hours

Ted gave this one a great review. This comedy-drama will take you on a ride through the life of David Copperfield from childhood to maturity.  It’s got an all-star cast, too.
