Admission wristbands are available for purchased for the 2018 Evansville HydroFest taking place Labor Day Weekend, August 31 – September 2.
The wristbands are $10 each. When purchased at the gate, $2 from each wristband will go to four local non-profits: Honor Flight of Southern Indiana, CASA, Evansville Museum Guild, and SWIRCA.

“We get to benefit really great non-profits,” said Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke at the HydroFest press conference.
Children 12 and under attending are free.
“Special events animate the community and I can’t think of a better way than the HydroFest to show how fun Evansville is,” said Joe Taylor, executive director of the Evansville Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Wristbands are available for purchase at the six local Schnucks and the following gates during the event:
- Court Street | attended by CASA
- Main Street | attended by SWIRCA
- Walnut Street | attended by Honor Flight of Southern Indiana
- Cherry Street | attended by Evansville Museum Guild
There will be approximately 60 teams competing at the event on the Ohio River.
A hydroplane is a watercraft composed of a single-seat hull with two pontoons and a cockpit that can exceed speeds of 100 mph.
