Owensboro showcasing Americana storytellers with free, intimate performance

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Big stories, small room - Brasher’s Little Nashville in Owensboro is hosting a free songwriter showcase next week featuring folk and Americana artists from throughout the region.

The “Pre-Folk Ramble” prefaces the Southeast Regional Folk Alliance (SERFA) conference, which kicks off the following day.

Organizers say the event will feature songwriters representing multiple states for a night of original music, storytelling, and authentic Americana music.

“This is what SERFA is all about—connection through music,” said Andy Brasher. “You’re going to hear incredible artists, many of them traveling in from across the country, in a setting that’s as real and authentic as it gets.”

The concert is happening Wednesday, May 27, with doors opening at 6 p.m.
