OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - A new event coming to Owensboro is hoping to get the public out to eat at local pizzerias.
The Owensboro Times Pizza Week kicks off September 19, bringing what organizers call “cheesy, saucy, and downright creative pizza fun to the community.”
Organizers are hoping restaurants will push the limits of what a pizza can be, while giving customers a fun excuse to eat local all week long.
Traditional and non-traditional entries will be allowed at the local eateries, all with the same price, and votes will be cast online for the best of the best.
Businesses involved have not been announced yet, but have until September 3 to sign up.
