HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - The Henderson Christmas tree lit up the sky tonight at Central Park tonight.
Henderson Mayor Brad Staton kicked off the annual Christmas Tree lighting
There were refreshments and entertainment provided by the Henderson County High School Choir.
Community members expressed how important this event is to them.
“Very important to start Christmas out with the community and joy and laughter, it’s just beautiful, and it’s gonna be a tradition with her now, tradition with our granddaughter, our first granddaughter,” explains one resident.
Tomorrow, the annual Henderson Merchant’s Christmas Parade will take place along Main Street and Elm Street.
