Henderson Tri-Fest returns in style this weekend

HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - Tri-Fest returns this year in downtown Henderson, starting on Friday.

Organized by the Henderson Breakfast Lions Club, it’s an annual fundraiser for many local non-profits.

There will be food vendors and carnival rides.

According to their website, live music will be performed by a few different artists throughout the weekend.

There will also be fireworks on the riverfront Friday night at 9 p.m.

The downtown streets of Henderson are filled with smiles on this beautiful April weekend.

After years of not being able to have the annual Tri-Fest, the people of Henderson were eagerly waiting to get back to all of the activities they love about their hometown festival.

“My favorite part of Tri-Fest is coming out and seeing all the people,” one festival spectator said. “Just everybody hanging out and enjoying good food and great lemonade.”

There are more than 40 food vendors set up that have come from across the Tri-State.

The president of the Henderson Breakfast Lions Club says this year will mark 33 years of the Tri-Fest, and event organizers project anywhere from 25,000 to 28,000 people coming this year.
