Mesker Park Zoo welcomed a new member to their zoo family today in a Facebook post.
They recently gained a new Giraffe and her name is Kijana! She is three years old and comes from the Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek Michigan.
According to the post, Mesker Park Zoo started looking for another giraffe as soon as Kiah passed away. The post said giraffes are herd animals and need other giraffe companionship. That’s where Kijana comes into play… literally!
They said Kijana has darker spots than Clementine and that’s a good way to distinguish the two.
