Volunteers needed to escort veterans in Honor Flight parade

Students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to volunteer to escort veterans in the return parade.

Students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to volunteer to escort veterans in a welcome home parade after their Honor Flight. Those interested must fill out an application.

The parade will take place at Evansville Regional Airport on Saturday, May 5.

Honor Flight of Southern Indiana is a chance for local veterans to visit Washington, D.C. and see the memorials created to honor their service in times of war.

Since 2014, there have been seven flights with 539 veterans on board.

Veterans that would like to take part in future flights may also fill out an application.
