The Parklands, a new 75-acre park, officially opens to the public on Saturday.
The Parklands is located on the site of the former Jasper Country Club. Some of the features include two-miles of walking trails, three stocked ponds for fishing, waterfalls, a play area and splash pad, and a pavilion.
The $7.5 million project was partially funded by donations, grants and in-kind contributions. The dedication is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday and a formal public opening at 1 p.m.
