Evansville Taco Tierra closes doors

The Taco Tierra in Evansville has closed their doors.

Walt Blake, the owner of the other three Taco Tierra restaurants, posted on the “Taco Tierra addicts” Facebook page the closure is because of health issues.

We’re told the Evansville location was operated by his son, Mike, who is the one with the health issues.

“… It has become apparent that I cannot devote the time and energy to deliver the level of service that I know is necessary for the customer and brands, therefore, I am closing Taco Tierra of Evansville immediately.
I truly appreciate the customer support that we have had over the years,
but, in this case I have to do what I know is the right thing to do. Thank you so much for the opportunity to serve you over the years.
The Blakes.”

Walt Blake opened the first Taco Tierra 41 years ago in Mount Carmel. There are also locations in Princeton and Fairfield.

We are told those location are not affected.
