Cirque Du Soleil: Behind the scenes

The show must go on

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live on the road?

Cirque Du Soleil Corteo travels for 10 weeks at a time! They live in hotels while traveling from city to city performing. And most times, they pack up and leave right after their Sunday afternoon shows to head to the next city.

They travel with chefs, a laundromat and a whole slew of specialized people that are needed to make the show go on. To be exact they have 58 people traveling with the performers to make sure the show is perfect.

There’s even a cobbler that makes custom shoes for each performer. They even paint the scuffs off shoes to create seemingly brand new shoes for each show.

Cirque Du Soleil Corteo will be in Evansville until Sunday, January 27. Find tickets online.
