2018’s most popular Netflix shows by state

Don’t be ashamed. Many people binge-watch their favorite shows on Netflix in the wee hours of the night. And hey – maybe while you’re binge-watching your favorite show, somewhere in the U.S. someone else is also binge-watching that very same show.

HighSpeedInternet.com made a map of the most popular Netflix shows in each state for 2018. They did so by making a list of popular shows on Netflix. Then they cross-referenced that list with Google Trends to find and rank the most searched Netflix shows by state.

They found that America’s favorite Netflix show is 13 Reasons Why. The Netflix original took won the hearts of seven states, making The End of the F***ing World take second place with six states claiming it as their favorite.

And what about the Tri-State?

Drum roll, please.

For Indiana… The Defenders

Indiana was the only state to name The Defenders as their favorite.

For Kentucky… Daredevil

Marvel’s Daredevil is the most popular show in five states including Kentucky, Florida, New York, South Dakota and Virginia.

For Illinois… 13 Reasons Why

Illinois agrees with the other six states that make 13 Reasons Why America’s Favorite.
